Janssen Medical Education Standalone 2011: Meeting Report
Back to listMadrid, 14–15 October 2011: A 2-day international medical education meeting attended by approximately 550 psychiatrists from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa entitled ‘The shape of the future: is living a normal life a possibility for our patients with schizophrenia?’ was held in Madrid, Spain, from 14 to 15 October 2011. The meeting discussed various topics relating to the treatment of schizophrenia, including the views of different stakeholder groups, long-term outcomes, the impact of treatments beyond symptom control and the practical aspects of combining or switching antipsychotic medications. The meeting also reviewed issues affecting the diagnosis, management and treatment of schizoaffective disorder (SCA).
