ADHES Educational Meeting Report
Back to listBerlin, 10–11 June 2011: A 2-day international medical education meeting of 242 healthcare professionals attending from across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) was held in Berlin, Germany from 10 to 11 June 2011. The meeting was entitled The adherence challenge in schizophrenia: an update of the ADHES initiative and discussed significant results regarding the challenge of overcoming partial/nonadherence to treatment by patients with schizophrenia. These data were considered along with healthcare professionals’ own attitudes affecting treatment outcomes, the benefits of continuous medication, and how to motivate the patient to maintain adherence.
